Early Academic Outreach Program:

 San Diego Unified School District

The Early Academic Outreach Program (EAOP) at UC San Diego works with high school students in the San Diego Unified School District to provide information and preparation for their post-secondary goals and aspirations.

Founded by the UC Office of the President in 1976, our mission is to assist first-generation, socio-economically disadvantaged, and English-language learner students by helping them prepare for postsecondary education, pursue graduate and professional school opportunities, and achieve success in the workplace.

This website is intended for students and parents in the San Diego Unified School District who are looking for information regarding EAOP and higher education preparation opportunities. We currently have cohorts at the following San Diego Unified schools: Crawford, Madison, Morse and San Diego High School. For a list of all of our service schools, please visit the Contact Us page.

Who We Are!

Welcome to EAOP! We know that the pandemic and distance learning impacted many in-person services. We have worked hard to bring our EAOP family back to full in-person status by being back on school campuses and resuming in-person conferences and field trips. Check below for upcoming events!

We look forward to working with you for the 2023-2024 school year and building upon the dreams, work, and aspirations that you have set for yourself!

If you are an EAOP Senior, Grecia Rivas will be your Academic Prep Specialist. If you are a 9th, 10th, 11th grade EAOP Scholar, your College Advisor will vary by site. Please check with your school's counseling office to see which days EAOP is on your campus. Meet our staff below!

You can also follow us on Instagram at @ucsandiego_eaop to see what we're up to and how you can participate!

Want to join EAOP?
